Traffic congestion bad for productivity

A quarter of HR directors believe the loss of hours worked through staff stuck in traffic jams will be a top concern over the coming years, according to a new study. HR’s green awareness policies leave much to be desired

HR professionals have admitted they need to do more to encourage employees to consider their impact on climate change. In response to the CIPD’s Labour Market Outlook survey 2007, 70% of those asked believe they could do more to highlight the advantages of greener commuting. Results show that just 45% actively encourage car-sharing while fewer than a third of the 757 respondents adequately promote homeworking.  […]
