What if… Up was first made in the 1960s?

Sometimes we like to play with counter-factuals – what if things had happened differently at this point? what if this market had been addressed instead of that one? It's usually for serious reasons and can be highly educational.

This, however, is a counter-factual that is utterly frivolous.

Recall, for a moment, Up, Pixar's great animated film (we all welled up in that silent first half-hour didn't we?). Now imagine that, instead of being an original screenplay, it was a re-make of a 1960s film. The original Carl Fredricksen was, of course, the great Spencer Tracy. And here's the trailer. Enjoy!
